Solar Tech Africa
Solar Tech Africa designs, supplies and installs solar power systems that generate electricity for use in homes, businesses, clinics, hospitals, schools, colleges, farms etc. Solar Tech Africa wants to raise financing that will be used in our next business model, called rooftop solar power purchase agreement, whereby Solar Tech Africa will install solar power systems on customers rooftops at no cost to the customer, then get the customer to sign a 20 year contract with Solar Tech Africa, to buy electricity generated from the installed solar system. This will make it possible that Solar Tech Africa occupies a huge market more than any other business in Zimbabwe. This model is good given the fact that solar systems are very expensive and if people were to pay upfront costs to own a solar system, that would mean only a few people would manage to have access to electricity. So, Solar Tech Africa has found this to be a great and competitive business model that would be greatly accepted by the majority of customers in our areas of operation.

Solar power systems
We design, supply and install solar power systems on rooftops of the customers premises in return for a contract called the Solar Power Purchase Agreement, that is signed between Solar Tech Africa and the host customer for a period of at least 20 year. The contract requires the customer to buy electricity produced from the solar power system installed on their premise by Solar Tech Africa. During this period, Solar Tech Africa operates and maintains the systems it installs, up to the expiry of the contract, after which the customer can choose to extend the contract or buy the solar system at a salvage rate of 30% or terminate the contract.
We also lease solar water pumps to the farming community for a period of at least 3 years where the customer agrees to rent a solar water pump from Solar Tech Africa. During this period, the customer will be paying rent to Solar Tech Africa. After the expiry of the contract , the customer can terminate the contract or buy the pump at a discount.
