Hi everyone and welcome. You may know me as the lead guitarist for the classic rock band America. I am trying to raise money to make my first original full-length album. I have the distinct opportunity to work with Fred Mollin, producer of several America records, including the Alibi and Back Pages albums. Other credits include Jimmy Webb, Lyle Lovett, David Crosby, Graham Nash, and many others. He is based in Nashville, TN, and regularly records at Sound Emporium Studios. This is significant for me as many of my favorite artists have recorded there. Additionally, I believe in the sound of a studio. I believe that the natural ambience, construction, everything – all get brewed into the music that is recorded there. 

I’m very excited at all of these prospects. The reality is, it if you want to do it right, it costs money…not only to record, but for the studio, but for Fred’s services, the session musicians, mixing and mastering, and most importantly…getting a final product to you!

So please consider contributing. I can assure you I will be putting all I’ve got into this, and will be working with some of the top guys in the industry to pull it all together.

What can you expect musically? Well, I have a TREMENDOUS amount of material ranging from instrumental “Steve Vai-esque” tunes to catchy pop songs, to pure rock and roll. Being that I am a guitar player first and foremost, it’s important to me that stays the focal point of the album. However, I always love bands that mix great songs with great playing. So, Fred and I are planning the album to be a good mixture of all of that. One of the key reasons why I wanted to work with him was to help me mix all these things together and come out with a truly amazing package. I’m sure it will be nothing short of that.
