Toronto, ON, Oct 28, 2015 – Toronto based startup, iMerciv Inc. is now taking pre-orders on Indiegogo (http://igg.me/at/imerciv) for its revolutionary and groundbreaking product for the blind and partially sighted.
The company is seeking $50,000 in order to run the first production line of their latest invention that is going to change the lives of people living with vision loss all over the world.
Orientation and Mobility are difficult for a person living with blindness or vision loss. In any urban jungle, navigating around busy streets with construction signs, barriers, promotional signboards and overhanging tree branches has always been a daily challenge for those living with vision loss. Traditional aids such as canes and guide dogs do not always address these obstacles, resulting in irritable and sometimes severe injuries.
“With over 10 million visually impaired people in North America alone, and more than 314 million people living with vision loss across the world, this is a serious problem that must be addressed.”
The newly launched BuzzClip is a small and discreet wearable that detects obstacles in one’s immediate environment and notifies the wearer of these obstacles through intuitive vibrations.
The BuzzClip offers essential upper body and head-level obstacle detection and can be easily attached to many forms of clothing, making it a highly versatile and useful device. It provides blind and visually impaired individuals with a greater deal of independence and autonomy while saving time and money on rehabilitation and care. The device has already been tested by hundreds of visually impaired people in Canada, the U.S and India.
The company also offers a great initiative to its campaign supporters by giving them the option to provide BuzzClips to blind communities in the developing world that cannot afford one.
“Our goal is to empower and improve the overall quality of life for communities living with vision loss all over the world through innovative technology”
With the support of the public, this product could be hitting the market as early as the spring of 2016.
