Finally, there are other “night vision” cameras on the market but they are either bulky and difficult to operate, very expensive for equivalent military grade quality, or very poor quality at a very cheap price point. EASY TO OPERATE

Ecliptus is purpose built for ease of operation and robustness. Ergonomically designed controls make the unit easy to operate in the dark. The unit is adjusted and operated completely by hand. No special tooling required. If you can point and shoot, you can use Ecliptus.

PALM-SIZED PORTABILITY

At only 4” in length, Ecliptus is easy to handle and can be taken wherever you want to go. It stores neatly in a small camera case and takes up very little room. Comparable solutions are much larger and awkward to handle, in this instance “bigger is NOT better!”

WIRELESS NIGHT VISION IMAGING WITH ADVANCED VIDEO CAPTURE

Coupling a ultra-high definition (4X HD) GoPro® Hero 4 camera to a high performance Generation III image intensifier has produced a state-of-the-art product in Ecliptus.

BROADCAST QUALITY OUTPUT UP TO 4K

Ecliptus is the only night vision system that images extremely low light scenes (overcast starlight) in HD formats, captures these images via many hours of internal recording storage (≈ 9 hours HD video), and is able to share these images/videos in real time through wireless communication (WiFi) to other digital networks or portable cloud computing devices

GOPRO® HERO 4 INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGY

Ecliptus is a state-of-the-art night vision system equipped to a GoPro® Hero 4 camera that will provide the clearest and brightest images on the market, even on the darkest of nights. You will have full control of all GoPro® modes via the built in push buttons.

FULL TECHNICAL SUPPORT

ECLIPTUS is a high performance night vision optical device that includes a 1-year manufacturer defects warranty and web-based customer support. As with military night vision devices, ASU strongly encourages ECLIPTUS owners to return their units annually to the factory for servicing. Servicing includes nitrogen purge, optical alignment and functionality checks.

DESIGN & MANUFACTURING

Ecliptus was designed and built by some of the top professionals in the night vision integration field. As the principle designer of Ecliptus, ASU’s Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Joseph Estrera leverages his more than 25 years of experience in the development of Advanced Electro-Optical systems. His credentials include multiple patents related to Image Intensification, Infra-Red and Image Fusion. ASU’s engineering partner for Ecliptus is Visimid Technologies, who have a combined 50+ years of system design and manufacturing experience.

WE HAVE BUILT AND TESTED THREE (3) PROTOTYPE AND FIVE (5) PREPRODUCTION UNITS.
