MEDICAL MISSION TO GUATEMALA
THE STORY:
Hola amigos! We are a group of physician assistant (PA) students and this January, we are planning a medical mission trip to Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. There, we will be working in a local clinic that provides free health care to underprivileged families. We will be providing check-ups to neonates and children, checking vital signs and counseling patients on healthy lifestyle and disease prevention. This clinic is government-run and they are in dire need of our help. Not only are their supplies sparse but they are also under-staffed.
The cost of the trip is quite high so any assistance you are willing to provide will help us to achieve our goal. In addition to the cost of the trip itself, we are looking to raise enough funds in hopes of donating additional medical supplies to provide to the impoverished clinic. The money will all be pooled together so it doesn’t matter which teammate you choose to donate to!
