Company Logo

PDL Scaffolding Ltd is a growing scaffold business that’s currently the preferred supplier to national blue chip companies, including Bovis Homes, Walkers Snack Foods, Proctor & Gamble and Knowsley Housing Trust.

Over the past 6 years the business has become a premier supplier for all kinds of projects and businesses in the North West of England.

House building programmes are on the increase as the UK continues to prosper – and thanks to ongoing contracts with home-builder Bovis and Russell Homes, the economic upturn has helped PDL Scaffolding grow profit and revenue year-on-year for the past three years.

Current monthly sales stand at £140,000 with £25,000 profit, and expected turnover for this financial year is in excess of £1.9m.

The business has significant contracts in place and a firm order book with a value of £2.5m (a breakdown of these orders can be found on pages 4 & 5 in the business plan) that will keep the company’s 38 scaffolders busy well into 2017. The business is now seeking a £100,000 loan over 60 months to buy system scaffold.

The business is opting to buy the scaffold rather than lease it as a more cost-effective option. Monthly costs (repayments) for buying the scaffold with a loan will work out at circa £2,100, whereas to lease the equipment, the company is expecting to have to pay around £3,200 per month.

Here’s a breakdown of the company’s current client list:

Bovis Homes (5 main contracts) 58%

Russell Homes 8%

Mersey Tunnels 7%

Term Contracts 10%

Regular ongoing customers 17%

Summary:
PDL Scaffolding Ltd is a growing scaffold business that’s currently the preferred supplier to national blue chip companies, including Bovis Homes, Walkers Snack Foods, Proctor & Gamble and Knowsley Housing Trust.
