Who we are: Revelation Ale Works will be a unique brewery, creating and distributing local ales with a family friendly taproom. We are working to open in mid 2016. The historic Johnson Standard building in the heart of downtown Hallock has been purchased and renovations are underway, brewing equipment is being sourced and now we are fundraising. We’re beyond excited to serve people by bringing great brews and a community-minded business to rural Minnesota!

The plan: Our goal is to open summer/fall of 2016! When we meet our Kickstarter goal we can purchase brewing equipment and finish renovating the taproom.  Our brewery will be a 3 barrel brew system, capable of brewing 90 gallons of fresh, delicious beer at a time! This system will supply us with brewing kettles, fermentation vessels and kegging equipment to supply local bars and restaurants, as well as our loyal, thirsty, beer-loving customers.

We’re excited to share our dedication and passion for local beer, made right here in Northwest Minnesota! Our facility will be an inviting, comfortable, family friendly taproom with a dedicated Gluten Free line serving kombucha and root beer all brewed by us!

What will the Kickstarter money be used for?  With your help, we are  completely remodeling our 1939 service station from top to bottom: new roof, windows, bathroom, paint, furnace, etc.  We will soon order equipment to brew our excellent beer.  The community support has already been amazing – checkout our Facebook page for construction updates:https://www.facebook.com/revelationaleworks/

Did we mentioned our hop yard? Red River Hops in was established 2015!  We began small and harvested 10 lbs in September that was sold to Fargo Brewing Co.  We plan to increase to 100 lbs of fresh Chinook, Cascade, and Centennial hops to use in our own brews in 2016.

Risks and challenges

Risks and challenges:

– Federal, State or Local License Approval
——
Starting a brewery requires a ton of work, as well as a lot of licensing. To ensure we do things properly and licenses are obtained, we’re working with a local, experienced lawyer, who is guiding and proof reading everything along the way. We are making sure to maintain a close, friendly relationship with the city of Hallock, to ensure a smooth approval process for our local licensing.
——
We recently purchased a 1939 service station in downtown Hallock. Our location needs a lot of work, including a new roof, windows, heating and ventilation and of course making the location comfortable for all of our patrons. To stay within budget, we will be doing a lot of the final, detailed work on our own, adding our personal touch to it. We are crossing our fingers that there won’t be other issues or additions to the building, to stay on track for our opening deadline.
——
If our project is not funded, you will not be charged. There is no risk to you. If our project is not funded, our business plans for the brewery will change, but we will keep working to bring local craft beer to Hallock! Therefore, we will still recognize your support on our website and also inside the brewery on a name plate. We recognize all your early support on our website; thank you. Please contribute today!
