Rising Sun Assisted Living aims to be that home for up to 60 residents, offering daily assisted care for residents in a respectful, self-­sustaining community. Rising Sun will bring together decades of experience and innovative, alternative visions of the potential in the elderly family members” latest years. In the first five years, Rising Sun will establish a new kind of Elder Care model, based on the idea that the elderly are fully-­realized persons, with ideas, thoughts, and experiences that matter.

Rising Sun Assisted Living has a proposed building an assisted living facility along with supporting common areas to meet the needs of area residents. The proposed facility will be comprised of two buildings, each around 20,000 square feet, and the estimated cost to construct the facility is $7,500,000, plus other development costs and pre-­opening costs.

The facility is consistent with the overall economic development strategy in Ozaukee County, which includes adding good paying, non-­seasonal jobs, strengthening its health industry cluster to diversify and stabilize the local economy, and building upon the natural strengths of the community (demographic trends, climate, and retiree-­friendly atmosphere). Once fully operational, Rising Sun Assisted Living will add full-­time equivalent jobs and more than $750,000 in annual wages and compensation to the local economy.
