This is a very exciting time for our company and we hope our investors enjoy getting involved in what we are doing.  The opportunity to fund inventory production while helping promote growth will be the catapult for taking our business to the next level!

Silikids has been dedicated to replacing plastics in the kitchen, making amazing products for the whole family out of silicone, and eductating customers about the benefits silicone has to offer. It’s a labor of love, that’s for sure. Now 8 years later, our Siliskin product line is sold from brick and mortor boutiques  to online retailers like Amazon and expanding on through larger national retailers and interational distribution. Our products have been seen in magazines, TV spots, and reviewed by numerous high profile bloggers. We are determined to make the best alternative to plastic when it comes to tableware… where high design meets affordability and everyone benefits.

Our next production run will take approximately 90 days which includes completing the final tooling for our newest products. We will ship product to a major retailer in May and recieve payment in 45 days. The funding will go towards the purchasing of our new Universal Siliskin Tops, Siliskin Cup Sets, and additional products.

Our mission is to offer an innovative alternative to plastics found in the kitchen and on table. Making items out of silicone brings long lasting durablity and safety to tableware.  

Safe. 

Silicone is basically made up of silicon, a natural element present in sand and rock, which after oxygen, is the most abundant element on earth! Silicon is transformed into silicone when combined with oxygen, carbon and hydrogen. Because it is an inert material, it does not react with food or liquids so no unpleasant flavors can transmit. It’s also non-toxic, hypo-allergenic and does not promote bacteria or fungus growth.

Non-Toxic. 

Due to concerns regarding BPA, many people are switching to BPA-Free products. Still, these plastic products contain other chemicals, such as BPS that is being used in place of BPA and is proving to be just as harmful and toxic.  Silicone, however offers just that solution! Silicone DOES NOT contain toxic chemicals like BPA, lead, PVC and phthalates.  It is also hypo-allergenic and has no open pores to harbor bacteria or molds. Truly an amazing material!

Durable. 

Silicone is very durable so you won’t have to worry about disposal for a long time. No need to dispose and create waste regularly, and silicone is recyclable – although probably not through your city-wide recycling program. There are many specialty recycling facilities that recycle silicone. Send your Silikids products back to us and we’ll recycle it for you!

About the owner

Two moms, Giuliana Schwab and Stacey Feeley, were concerned about the toxic chemicals found in plastic feeding accessories. Also, the terrible enviromental impact as the result of all plastic waste was hard to ignore. So they set out to do something about it. They launched Silikids in 2007, the first mom-founded brand which focuses on creating products that are toxin-free, durable and made out of silicone. Silikids combines function with high design and affordability. The innovative line uses the technological advances of silicone to make eco-friendly basics easier, safer and ultimately… better.
