The World Collage – Juxtaposed photo stories across 4 continents

A collection of photo-stories across the world with unique insightful descriptions, juxtaposing cultures with a focus on socio-economic issues across Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America.

The World Collage, a photo-book with 142 juxtaposed photo-stories across 4 continents is now being crowdfunded on the indiegogo platform. It has already raised 27% ($2600) of its $10000 funding goal from 92 backers. The lead campaigner Mrunal Gawade is a scientist / artist based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with his education across 3 continents (BE- India, MS- USA, PhD- Netherlands). The book portrays his acute observations during his world travels with a focus on socio-economic awareness as seen through his camera,  and compares the stories across cultures,  natural, and manmade schemes.

Though cultures differ, the humanity across the world is still bound by a common thread of kindness, helpfulness, love, and various such qualities. Though natural and manmade beauties such as bodies of water, mountains, institutes of learning, architectures change across different geographical boundaries, similarities can still be found in their abstract forms.  The world is like a large collage connected through the threads binding the humanity, the natural and the manmade schemes in their different manifestations.

The photo-book is an ideal gift for socio-economic-thinkers, cultural explorers, travel lovers, and architecture lovers, as the festive season approaches. It could be also used as a coffee-table book. It has a strong focus on socio-economic issue awarness across cultures. Some of the photos could be very intriguing and will definitely leave you pondering, to question the way societies across the world function. So you get some food for thought. Some stories might inspire you to visit these new places, or might bring back those fond memories, if been there already.
