Fashion meets function with Woolpack: the new premium clothing line that combines the functionality of adventure sportswear with the premium quality of high-end fashion — all through one of the world’s most versatile, luxurious and eco-friendly materials: merino wool.
There aren’t many fabrics out there that sportswear creators and high-end fashion designers can agree on. You’re not going to see a whole lot of spandex walking down Madison Avenue, and you’d probably want to think about your life choices if you set out for a hike in the mountains decked out in cashmere.
But merino wool — that’s a material where sportswear designers and formalwear designers can find some common ground.
Sportswear brands love merino wool for its high performance and functionality.
But while the clothes those brands make are great for a hike in the mountains, the super-sporty look doesn’t always translate so well when you’re back in the city.
High-end designer brands love merino wool for its luxurious feel.
But while designer suits and knitwear are great for special occasions, they don’t make a whole lot of sense for everyday life.
In short: up until now, most clothing brands have honed in on one of merino wool’s great qualities – the functionality or the fashion. At Woolpack, our thought is: why not both? Why not harness merino wool’s incredible versatility to give customers the best of both worlds, and create apparel that’s
Functional enough to keep up with our active lifestyles and
Fashionable enough to look good doing it?
Introducing Woolpack: One T-Shirt. Infinite Possibilities.
The Woolpack mission is simple:
create great activewear that’s as stylish, as sophisticated and as versatile as the people wearing it.
At Woolpack, we understand something important about the way we live today. Specifically: we today have a lot going on. So we need clothing options that are going to be able to keep up with us, whatever the day might bring.
That’s why, with Woolpack, we’re setting out to design clothes that are versatile enough to go with you wherever your day takes you.
Need to go work out? Throw on a pair of sweatpants with a Woolpack shirt, and you’re good to go.
Want to go out shopping with your friends right after? Swap your sweatpants for a pair of jeans, and you’re ready to go.
Woolpack’s fashion-forward design is simple, clean, and perfect for any situation. We combine the functionality of adventure sportswear with the quality of high-end fashion to make the clothing that can carry you all the way through your day.
We could go on and on about all of the incredible qualities that make merino wool the ultimate in great-looking activewear, but we’ll keep it short. Here are the top six reasons why we love merino wool:
At 17.5 microns and flat lock stitching, Woolpack is comfortable, durable, premium quality clothing that can be worn on bare skin. Our fabric is specially spun to give you a smooth and gentle feel. We’ve even eliminated the neck tag for a little extra comfort.
Merino wool is temperature regulating, which means that it feels cool in hot weather and warm in cold weather. These natural temperature regulating properties help to keep you comfortable no matter what the season!
It’s not enough for clothing to look good — it has to be good for the environment. Merino wool is 100% organic, biodegradable and environmentally friendly — plus, the shearing process is 100% humane to the sheep we get it from.
Whether you’re working out or just walking around in the summer, no one likes being sweaty. That’s why Woolpack made fabric that will pulls moisture away from your skin and is also water repellent if you spill. Our fabric eliminates sweat stains and keeps you dry all day long!
Our clothing is knitted so that air can travel in and out. This helps you feel refreshed, even in sticky weather, because air can flow freely to cool you down.
Merino wool’s anti-bacterial properties make it so that your shirt won’t smell, even if you’ve worn it twice and worked out in it. We’re perfect if you don’t have time to do laundry or if you like to work out right before you go out!
We’ve already had some incredible success with Woolpack and or goal to bring people fashionable, more functional fabrics!
We’ve completed a successful Kickstarter campaign where we sold 380 shirts and raised $18,000 in 35 days from 230 backers! All our backers have given us excellent feedback that we’re going to use as we move forward, and we also got some incredible media coverage.
We recently partnered with Stella Ishii, the founder and CEO of New Showroom in NYC. We also have press connections with Coolmaterial.com and Yankodesign.com! These awesome connections will help us as we move forward with Woolpack.
We’re currently working to expand our line of products to include hoodies, sweatpants, tank tops, and long sleeve shirts! For more information about the future of Woolpack and how you could be a part of it, please request access to the Business Plan page of this profile.
